Costa Mesa, California, August 16, 2017 – Nonprofit Project Independence has received a grant of $500 from OC Nonprofit Central, Orange County’s first-ever, fully searchable online database of local nonprofit organizations.
This resource was created to help donors and local residents better understand Orange County’s nonprofit community, and discover how to engage in the causes they care about most. The Orange County Community Foundation powers it.
“We thank the Foundation for their generosity on behalf of the people with developmental disabilities we serve,” said Project Independence CEO and President Debra Marsteller. “Every donation is significant to us as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary of serving those who need us most.”
Project Independence’s eighth Annual Walk For Independence is set for September 9 at Tewinkle Park in Costa Mesa. Visit https://www.proindependence.org/walk-for-independence/ for information. Eighty-seven cents of every dollar raised by Project Independence goes directly to support programs for people with developmental disabilities.
Prospective donors can contact Director of Development Todd Eckert at Todd@Proindependence.org or 714-549-3464.
