As we approach Independence Day, we celebrate the freedom and independence that we cherish as Americans. However, for many individuals with developmental disabilities, the challenge to become more independent can be a lifelong journey requiring dedicated support and care.

At nonprofit Project Independence we are committed to providing essential support services for adults with developmental disabilities throughout Orange County. Through our programs, like Independent Living, Day Program, and Supported Employment, we empower individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives, fostering a sense of autonomy and self-determination.

While we are grateful for the support we receive from the State of California, it’s unfortunately not enough to sustain our levels as the needs increase. As our community grows and the need for our services expands, we find ourselves facing increasing challenges in meeting those needs.
